Aston Group's neurology profile covers epilepsy, dementia, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease.
We have accomplished a range of marketing and epidemiological studies to explore particular neurological conditions (residual neuromuscular blockade caused by the use of non-depolarising muscle relaxants, spasticity, dystonia, dizziness and post stroke conditions).
These research projects addressed the following issues:
- Market launch of the novel innovative drug
- Company image and brand perception
- Current clinical practice for treatment of Parkinson's disease
- Current clinical practice for treatment of refractory epilepsy
- Effects of interferon use in patients with multiple sclerosis
Aston Group’s team is developing the Regional Registry of Patient Rehabilitation (Moscow) that will assess neurological status of patients in need of medical rehabilitation. The Registry will make possible to collect relevant patient data and evaluate the efficacy of particular regimens. Professor A. Razumov, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences is in charge of project supervision.
The project is also supported by the Research Centre of Medical Rehabilitation. Among the KOLs in neurology with whom Aston has established close contact are S. Illarioshkin (Parkinson's disease), A. Grekht (epilepsy) and A. Boiko (multiple sclerosis).
