Training Webinar for Medical Geneticists

On February 11, 2021, Aston Health and the Association of Medical Geneticists hosted a training webinar for medical geneticists on the new section “Family Mediterranean Fever (FMF)”  in the Audit of Patients with Hereditary and Congenital Disorders.

The webinar was attended by Alexander Polyakov, PhD, MD, Professor, associate member of RAMS Head of the DNA Testing Laboratory and advisor to Medical Genetics Research Center (MGRC), and Aston Health experts Andrey Kazakov, Head of Orphan Disease Department, and Georgy Lavrentiev , project manager.

In 2016, the Audit of Patients with Hereditary and Congenital Disorders was launched by Aston Health in collaboration with MGRC. The aim of the project is to improve the diagnosis and treatment of various orphan conditions in this country. The current database includes information on over 5,000 patients.
