The national project "Diamobil" was launched in 2002 with an aim of improving screening and early diagnosis of diabetes.
This year, the planned activities were postponed due to pandemic, but on September 14-17 the mobile team was deployed at the Municipal Clinic of Troitsk, Moscow Region. This became possible thanks to the support from the National Medical Research Center for Endocrinology, the Moscow City Health Department, as well as involvement of Novo Nordisk and Aston Health.
Two mobile labs, with 2 rooms each, performing biochemistry and HbA1C testing and ECG received patients from 7-00 to 16-00 during these four days. The consumables were provided by the Troitsk Clinic.
The total of 132 patients were able to undergo examination and receive consultation from podiatrist (diabetic foot specialist), ophthalmologist, cardiologist and endocrinologist. The patient medical information was then included in the National Registry of Diabetes
Aston Health is a reliable Diamobil project partner.
