Aston Health Participated in the Russian Pharmaceutical Forum Adam Smith-2017

Adam Smith-2017 was held in St. Petersburg on May 16-17. More than 80 speakers and 700 participants from all over the world took part in this largest pharma event in Russia.

Aston Health was the organizer of the focus session titled "Patient-oriented approach: The role of pharma". For more than a decade Aston has been developing various patient-oriented models for the Russian healthcare in collaboration with the medical community, pharmaceutical manufacturers and patient organizations.

The session was moderated by Svetlana Sorokina, journalist and TV host.

The invited speakers included:

  • Irina Myasnikova, the Chairman of the Board, Interregional Public Organization "Helping Patients with Cystic Fibrosis"
  • Rosa Shakhidova, Director, Market Access, Roсhe
  • Vladimir Bulatov, Medical Director, AstraZeneca

  • E. Vishneva, Deputy Director for Science, Institute for Pediatric Studies
  • N. Knyazheskaya, professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Pulmonology,  Russian National Research Medical University n. a. Pirogov

The central piece of the session was the report presented by Sofya Demura, Medical Director, Aston Health.

Also, our company took part in the panel "What are the key drivers for industry growth?"

Maria Sdvizhkova, Head of Strategic Consulting, Aston Health made a presentation titled "Time for more optimism", highlighting the following topics:

  • The Government Guarantees Program: the budget approved for 2017
  • Public expenditure on pharmaceutical provision in 2015-2017
  • The key trends of public healthcare funding in Russia.
