Aston Health Data in a Report at the Conference "New Technologies in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Hereditary Diseases"

Aston Health is involved in organizing and conducting the first observational study on Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) in Russia titled "Audit of neonatal screening and care delivery to patients with orphan diseases" as part of the long-term program initiated by the Medical Genetics Center and the Association of Medical Geneticists of Russia.  

The data from the study was presented by Alexander  Polyakov, PhD, Professor of RAMS, Head of the DNA Laboratory at Moscow State ResearchCenter, in his report "Registry of patients diagnosed with SMA - what can be improved" during the Conference held on July 21-22, 2020. The project covers 500 patients from 60 regions of Russia.
