On May 19-21, 2015 the XXI Adam Smith Russian Pharmaceutical Forum was held in St. Petersburg.The principal topic discussed at the Forum was the optimization of health resources amidst ongoing economic crisis.
Aston Group was actively involved in the events of the Forum. One of the panel discussions conducted on May 20 was titled The Future of Drug Reimbursement in Russia and Further Development of Pilot Projects. It consisted of two parts.
The first part was devoted to drug supply in the hospital sector and the second covered development of pilot projects in the field of public drug reimbursement. Anton Artyomov, the General Manager of Aston Group acted as a moderator of the first part of the discussion, in which the leading international and Russian experts looked into the implementation of DRG-based models in the Russian regions and presented their views as to the prospects for their further adoption to ensure better accesses for patients to high quality hospital care.
During the second part of the round table, the Director of Marketing Research and Consulting, Aston Group Igor Petrushin presented a report dedicated to the current system of drug supply in Russia, including its latest developments and trends.
The numerous meetings involving representatives of the pharmaceutical community, government agencies and the press took place at the booth set up by Aston Group.
This year, Adam Smith Forum has once again confirmed its status as the key pharmaceutical industry event, while Aston Group traditionally demonstrated its active involvement and expertize.
