Aston Group at Clinical Trials Russia Forum organized by the Adam Smith Conferences

On November 24-26, 2015 Moscow hosted the Clinical Trials Russia Forum for the leading Russian and international experts of the Clinical Trials sector.

Inna Pugach, Head of Laboratory Diagnostics, Aston Group presented a report “Organized system of lab diagnostics: important tool in improving the quality of care.” She touched upon a number of important issues, including:

  • variability of test results across laboratories
  • availability of state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies
  • lack of centralized  data storage and processing

and offered practical solutions such as:

  • standardization of processes in laboratories
  • making state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies available to patients
  • storing and routing of patient data using integrated information systems
  • creating a foundation for personalized medicine.

Aston Group’s partner company ANO Mediсa Mente took part in the parallel forum titled "Medical Department in Russia, 2015".

Evgeniy Averin, Executive Director, ANO Mediсa Mente, made a presentation concerning the accreditation of health professionals in Russia starting from 2016.

The highlights of his report included:

  • essentials of the new accreditation system
  • changes to the training process
  • new credentials for health practitioners
  • the role of the non-government system of preparation for accreditation
