Aston Clinical promotes introduction of the state-of-the-art diagnostic methods in Russia.

 

One of the main focuses for Aston Clinical is improving the quality of laboratory diagnostics in Russia and introducing international standards of diagnostics.

Recently, a new research project to monitor the quality of lab diagnostics in the country was launched as part of the program "Improving the quality of molecular genetic diagnostics in Russia".

The partnering laboratories that interact with Aston Clinical are actively involved in the project for development of molecular-genetic diagnosis sponsored by the European Molecular Genetics Quality Network (EMQN).

Under this project which analyzes mutations in the genes common in lung cancer, breast cancer and ovarian cancer, the participating labs are provided with samples to be tested for genetic mutations using recommended methods and within a set timeframe.

Assessment of the abilities and compliance of the labs registered in the EMQN project will make possible to raise their level of competence and introduce best practice standards.
